Verification

Micro-credentials should have the ability to be verified. The verification process should be transparent and should be based on a set of clear criteria. The Micro-credential Council of Canada verifies certificates for our partners.

Member services

We provide verification services for our members, and provide consulting from qualified professionals (cursory reviews) of courses prior to publication.

  • Micro-credentials are short, focused learning experiences that provide learners with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the workplace.
  • They are typically offered by learning institutions across Canada, but they can also be offered by other organizations, such as for-profit and not-for-profit businesses.
  • Micro-credentials can be completed online or in person, and they can be used to supplement learning gaps, build new skills and assist in building an individual’s resume.

On a fee-for-service basis, our members provide consulting services on a variety of topics, such as course design, assessment, cursory reviews of courses prior to publication, industry trends, market analysis and marketing.

By having our organization review courses pre and post publication, you can get feedback on how to make your courses more marketable to learners and employers and promote using our stamp of approval.

By consulting with our organization, you can get expert advice on how to design and assess your courses effectively.

By having your micro-credentials verified our organization, as a member, you can be confident that your micro-credentials meet the highest standards of quality.
